Rear Wiper/Washer System Components

The rear wiper/washer system consists of the following components:

    • Rear wiper/washer switch
    • Rear wiper motor
    • Rear wiper motor module
    • Rear washer pump
    • RR WIPER 20A fuse

Rear Wiper/Washer System Operation

The rear wiper motor operation is controlled by the rear wiper motor module. The rear wiper/washer system operating voltage is supplied through the rear wiper/washer switch by the rear wiper switch control circuits. The DELAY wiper operates at one interval speed when the delay/on control circuit and the off/delay control circuit are closed to accessory voltage by the rear wiper/washer switch. When the rear wiper/washer switch is in the ON position accessory voltage is supplied to the rear wiper motor module through the delay/on control circuit only. When the rear wiper/washer switch is turned to the OFF position, accessory voltage is supplied to the rear wiper motor module through the off/delay control circuit only and is used to return the rear wiper motor to the park position before stopping the motor. The wiper motor park switch is supplied a reference voltage from the off/delay control circuit, and is inactive during the ON operating mode. The rear wiper motor park switch is closed whenever the wiper motor is out of the park position, and 0 volts on the wiper motor park switch signal circuit indicates the wiper arm is in the park position.
