Service VME - Damaged Plastic Retainers to Attach Grill

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

This involves the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche front chrome grill assembly. From a Warranty Parts Center review of returned parts, grills have been replaced due to broken end plastic retainers behind the painted portion of the grill and located below the park lamp assemblies. These retainers are not to be reused in cases where the grill is removed and reinstalled. And in any case where the clip is found to be damaged, replace the clip with part number 25724529, available through the Service Parts Organization.
