Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Avalanche - 2WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - Hybrid (HP2) 6.0L (LFA) 🢒 Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Remove the oil filter fitting (438), as required.

    2. Object Number: 1967329 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil level sensor (727) and O-ring (728).

    3. Object Number: 1967330 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (427) and baffle (428).

    4. Object Number: 1658297 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil pan bolts (435), cover (434), and gasket (433).
  5. Clean the oil pan in solvent.

    6. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses and Compressed Air Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Dry the oil pan with compressed air.

  7. Inspect the oil pan for the following conditions:
    8. • Damaged gasket surfaces (1)
    • Restrictions within the oil passages (2) of the pan
    • Damaged oil filter seal surface (3)
    • Threaded oil level sensor hole (4) for damage
