Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 348563  Size: SH
  3. Unsnap the jounce bumper from the mounting cup (4WD 15 Series).

  4. Object Number: 348561  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nut from the jounce bumper stud (All 25/35 Series and RWD 15 Series with coil spring).
  6. Remove the jounce bumper.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 348563  Size: SH
  1. Snap the jounce bumper to the mounting cup (4WD 15 Series).

  2. Object Number: 348561  Size: SH
  3. Install the jounce bumper (All 25/35 Series and RWD 15 Series with coil spring).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the nut to the jounce bumper stud.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  7. Remove the safety stands.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
