Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2003 🢒 Avalanche - 4WD 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Entertainment 🢒 Digital Radio Receiver Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Important: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock®, and "XM Theftlock®" will display.

  1. Remove the right side junction block from the instrument panel (I/P). Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement - Right Side in Wiring Systems.

    2. Do not disconnect the electrical connectors.

  2. Lower the I/P compartment door to the full open position.
  3. From the junction block opening, remove the 2 retaining screws (1).
  4. Pull the receiver and bracket assembly from the I/P compartment opening.

  5. Disconnect the wire connector.
  6. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the receiver.
  7. Remove the receiver and bracket assembly from the I/P.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 854856 Size: SH
  1. Connect the coaxial cable.
  2. Connect the wire connector.
  3. Install the receiver and bracket assembly to the I/P.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 retaining screws (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Install the right side junction block to the I/P. Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement - Right Side in Wiring Systems.
  6. Close the I/P compartment door.
  7. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup .
