When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME

Some customers may comment that the display of driver and passenger A/C temperature settings can be confusing. It is possible to set the left (drivers) temperature control to full cold (about 60°F, 15.5°C) and the right (pass side) temperature control to full hot with little indication on the display that the passenger side temp is set differently from the drivers side temperature. For example, if the drivers side temperature is set to 60°F and the passengers side temperature is set for 90°F(32°C), the display will show the 90 degree passengers side for an estimated 5 seconds and then return to a display of 60 degrees and a small arrow pointing left. The arrow is important because it is the only indicator that the left and right temperatures are not equal. When both temperatures are equal, the display will have arrows pointing both left and right. With different set temperatures, it is possible to have the left temperature door flowing air through the evaporator and the right temperature door flowing air through the heater core which may lead to customer concerns with temperature control. To synchronize the driver and passenger temperatures, push and hold the AUTO button for at least four seconds.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
