In some cases customers have requested replacement of their trucks factory equipped tires with LT rated tires for stiffer sidewall characteristics. GM does not endorse nor warrant replacement of a tire with different load handling ratings. Such replacement can negatively impact handling, stability, ride, braking tire wear, and even fuel economy. General Motors exclusive Tire Performance Criteria TPC Specifications found on every factory equipped 1500 Series C/K utility truck tire assures that rigorous testing for the best tire to truck performance match.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
