The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment on a pop/clunk/chirp/squeak/itch noise coming for the seat back when getting in or out of the vehicle or pushing on the seat back. The seat back foam is glued to the metal seat back frame. This concern could be caused by the foam
becoming separated from the metal seat back frame, as shown.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To correct this concern remove all of the glue and foam from the metal seat back frame. After the seat back frame is cleaned obtain an ample length of the loop/soft side of Velcro to wrap the entire seat frame. Wrap the Velcro around the metal seat frame
like a candy cane, but do not leave any space between the wraps, so the entire frame is covered. Install a NEW seat back foam and reassemble the seat.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
