Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1248487 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left and the right rear rocker trim panels.

    3. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .

  3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  4. Remove the bolts and the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors from the lower/center pillar.
  5. Remove the left and the right lower B-pillar trim panels. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  6. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  7. Pry off the left and the right front rocker trim panels.
  8. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel , Gages and Console.

  9. Remove the floor carpet.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1248487 Size: SH
  1. Install the floor carpet.
  2. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel , Gages and Console.
  3. Install the left and the right front rocker, trim panels.
  4. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.

  5. Install the left and the right lower B-pillar trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors to the lower/center pillar with the bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt anchor bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear seatback. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .

  8. Install the left and the right rear rocker trim panels. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .

  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
