The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.
ES Light due to a P0106, P0300 and/or P2279. The vehicle may also run rough, misfire, stall and/or emit black smoke from the tailpipe.
Inspect the MAP sensor vacuum hose for cracks. If cracked, the MAP sensor voltage input to the ECM may increase, causing any of the above conditions to occur. If a cracked MAP sensor vacuum hose is found, inspect the MAP sensor to make sure that there is no sign of flashing where the MAP sensor vacuum hose attaches. If present, trim the flashing and replace the MAP sensor vacuum hose. If there is no flashing, just replace the MAP sensor vacuum hose.

Please follow this diagnosis process throughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
