The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
While using a Tech 2 with software version 25.002 or earlier, it may be noted that the MAP voltage parameter moves erratically from 0-94 volts but the MAP KPA parameter appears steady and accurate.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If encountered, update the Tech 2 to software version 25.003 or greater to obtain accurate MAP voltage readings. Software version 25.003 was released through TIS 2 Web on 4/28/2005.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
