The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to a P0449 and/or P0455 DTC.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the cause of this concern is not isolated after following the SI diagnostics, inspect the EVAP vent valve harness for broken and/or corroded circuits between the EVAP vent valve and harness pass through behind the right rear wheel.
If broken or corroded circuits are found, use SI repair procedures to repair the circuits and evaluate the concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
