The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, command the EGR valve to 100% with the engine idling at operating temperature. Typically, the engine will stall when this is done. If it never does, remove the exhaust manifold and inspect the EGR passage shown below for a casting flash. If a casting flash is present, carefully remove the flashing with a die grinder.
