Removal Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1252066 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Remove the bolts and the splash shield.

    4. Object Number: 1252071 Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws underneath the front bumper fascia.

    5. Object Number: 1252072 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screw securing the front bumper fascia to the fender.
  6. Remove the bolts at the base of the fender.

    7. Object Number: 1252074 Size: SH
  7. Open the front door. Remove the bolt at the base of the Windshield Pillar.

    8. Object Number: 1252075 Size: SH
  8. Open the hood.
  9. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement
  10. Remove the bolts along the top of the fender.
  11. Remove the fender.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1252075 Size: SH
  1. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement
  2. Install the fender.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts along the top of the fender.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the upper fender bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the bolt at the base of the windshield pillar.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fender-to-windshield pillar bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).


    Object Number: 1252072 Size: SH
  5. Install the bolts at the base of the fender.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the lower fender bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1252071 Size: SH
  6. Secure the fender to the front bumper fascia with the screw.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper fascia screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  7. Secure the fender behind the front bumper fascia with the screws.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the fender screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  8. Install the splash shield with the screws.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the splash shield screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  9. Install the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
