TPMS Receiver Module receives the vehicle speed signal from the transmission control module (TCM) and also receives the information of the tire inflation pressure from the transmitters and the transmitter’s condition. With these information, the TPMS decides that the warning lamp indication is needed or not.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC C0779 Unregistered ID Code
Vehicle speed is above 32 km/h (20 mph).
• | The TPMS transmitter ID was not registered in the TPMS receiver module. |
• | The registration of TPMS transmitter ID was not completed in 5 minutes. |
TPMS warning lamp blinks for 75 seconds.
The conditions that set the DTC are no longer present, the DTC can be cleared by scan tool.
