Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the brake lines from the proportioning valves.
- Remove the valves from the master cylinder body.
Installation Procedure
- Install the proportioning valves to the cylinder body.
- Connect the brake lines to the valves.
- Bleed the braking system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Caution in the Preface section.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Important: Since these valves are adjusted in pairs to the correct control range, they must be replaced in pairs.
Tighten
Tighten the proportioning valves to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the brake lines to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
