TPMS Receiver Module receives the vehicle speed signal from the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and also receives the information of the tire inflation pressure from the transmitters and the transmitter’s condition. With this information, the TPMS decides that the warning lamp indication is needed or not.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC C0550 Input Failure Of Vehicle Speed
Vehicle speed is above 32 km/h (20 mph).
• | TCM inoperative |
• | Wiring harness damage between TPMS receiver module and TCM |
• | One of the tire pressure sensors is remaining in Drive mode after the vehicle is parked. |
TPMS warning lamp blinks for 75 seconds.
The conditions that set the DTC are no longer present, the DTC can be cleared by scan tool.
