Removal Procedure
Note: When removing the camshaft sprockets, the timing belt replacement procedure must be followed to ensure the camshafts and crankshaft are locked into position.
- Remove the timing belt. Refer to
Timing Belt Replacement.
- Remove the camshaft exhaust sprocket bolt cap (4).
- Remove the camshaft exhaust sprocket bolt (3).
- Remove the camshaft exhaust sprocket with actuator (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the camshaft exhaust sprocket (2).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the camshaft exhaust sprocket bolt (3).
Tighten
Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt to 65 N·m (47.9 lb ft).
- Install the camshaft exhaust sprocket bolt cap (4).
Tighten
Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt cap to 50 N·m (36.8 lb ft).
- Install the timing belt. Refer to
Timing Belt Replacement.
