    • DW220-020A-01 Differential Bearing Puller (Part of Kit DT-46554)
    • DW220-020A-02 Differential Bearing Plate Adapter (Part of Kit DT-46554)
    • DW220-020A-03 Differential Bearing Plate Adapter (Part of Kit DT-46554)

Disassembly Procedure

    Object Number: 1224160 Size: SH
  1. Remove the differential assembly. Refer to Transmission Disassemble.
  2. Fix the differential assembly into a vise with a protector.
  3. Remove the differential ring bolts (1).
  4. Remove the ring gear (2).

    5. Object Number: 1224133 Size: SH
  5. Remove the pinion gear pin (1) using a pin punch and a hammer.

    6. Object Number: 1224147 Size: SH
  6. Remove the pinion gear shaft from the case (1).

    7. Object Number: 1224155 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the pinion gear and the washer by rotating the side gear.

  7. Remove the pinion gears and the washers (1).
  8. Remove the side gears (3).
  9. Remove the shims from the side gears (2).

    10. Object Number: 1224139 Size: SH
  10. Remove the differential right side bearing using the DW220-020A-01  (1) and the DW220-020A-02  (2).
  11. Remove the speedometer drive gear (3).

    12. Object Number: 1224132 Size: SH
  12. Remove the differential left side bearing using the DW220-020A-01  (1) and the DW220-020A-03  (2).
