Removal Procedure
  1. Siphon the power steering fluid from the reservoir.

    2. Object Number: 1251830 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the suction hose from the power steering pump.
  3. Disconnect the suction hose from the reservoir.

    4. Object Number: 2046994 Size: SH
  4. Remove the suction pipe retaining clamp nuts (1, 2) under the radiator.
  5. Remove the suction hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1251830 Size: SH
  1. Connect the suction hose to the reservoir.
  2. Connect the suction hose to the power steering pump.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2046994 Size: SH
  3. Install the suction pipe retaining clamp nuts (1, 2). Tighten the nuts to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
  4. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
