Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1371891 Size: SH
  1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement.
  2. Remove the camshaft gears. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement.
  3. Remove the crankshaft gear.
  4. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner bolts.
  5. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner.

  6. Remove the timing belt idler pulley bolt.
  7. Remove the timing belt idler pulley.

    8. Object Number: 1371925 Size: SH
  8. Remove the rear timing belt cover bolts.
  9. Remove the rear timing belt cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1371925 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear timing belt cover.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear timing belt cover bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1371894 Size: SH
  3. Install the timing belt idler pulley.
  4. Install the timing belt idler pulley bolt and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

    5. Object Number: 1371891 Size: SH
  5. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner.
  6. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner bolts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  7. Install the crankshaft gear.
  8. Install the camshaft gears. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement.
  9. Install the timing belt and timing belt cover. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement.
