UNLEADED GAS BRANDS PORT FUEL INJECTION

MODEL AND YEAR: ALL MODELS WITH PORT FUEL INJECTION

General Motors has asked gasoline suppliers to market and advertise gasolines that keep port fuel injectors free of deposits and help remove deposits formed on port fuel injectors.

The National and Regional brands of gasoline listed have been advertised to have detergent properties compatible with port fuel injectors. While these advertised claims are not based on data generated by General Motors, we have no reason to doubt the truth of the claims.

This list is not intended to be all inclusive since more suppliers will be improving their fuels. Please be alert to local advertisements so your list will be as comprehensive as possible.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
