800 PHONE NUMBER FOR DEALER TO REPORT QUALITY CONCERNS

MODELS: 1988 C/K PICKUP

1-800-843-1413

A successful launch of the all-new full size C/K pickup truck is important to all of us. To enhance our opportunity to successfully launch this vehicle, as well as monitor its quality as received by the dealer, an early problem feedback system has been established in the form of a toll free 800 number. This num ber will be in effect from February 1, 1987 through June 30, 1987. Dealerships are encouraged to use the 800 number as early as your pre-delivery inspection to report any problem observed or experienced with this vehide. Our goal is to uncover ALL problems, whether they are parts, assembly, or engineering, and to produce a "World Class" vehicle. The phone will be manned from 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. The remainder ofthe time, an answering machine will take the information. This number is for DEALERS ONLY, and your zone dealer code number will be required at the time of the call. Also, this number is for the NEW C/K PICKUP ONLY. At the time of your call, we ask that the dealership have a complete repair order on hand, as well as the following information:

o Dealer code o Dealer name o Contact person o Phone number o Labor Operation, a desciption of the condition, and how it was corrected.

The 800 number is intended to gather valuable information that will enable us to quickly identify and correct those problems which may ultimately affect our customer's satisfaction with the new C/K pickup. The number is NOT intended to provide parts assistance or repair information. Problems encountered in those areas should continue to be pursued through normal channels such as the Technical Assistance network or your assigned Dealer Contact Representative Your dealership's use of this 800 number is essential for us to assure the highest quality vehicle is being delivered to your dealership. We thank you in advance for your cooperation, and with your help, look forward to producing the highest quality pickup sold in the world.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
