Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1996 🢒 Blazer - 2WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.2L 🢒 Oil Pump Removal

    Object Number: 3785 Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
  2. Remove the oil pump drive. Do this by lifting and turning the oil pump drive.

Oil Pump Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Removal.

    2. Object Number: 3786 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bolt that attaches the oil pump to the rear main bearing cap.

    3. Object Number: 3787 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil pump.

    4. Object Number: 3788 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil pump drive shaft. Refer to Oil Pump Drive Removal

    5. Important: Do not crack the oil pump drive shaft retainer.

  5. Remove the oil pump drive shaft retainer.

    6. Important: A loose oil pump tube can cause an air leak and a loss of oil pressure.

  6. Inspect the oil pump pickup tube for looseness.
