🢒 Cylinder Head Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the water pump. Refer to
Water Pump Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to
Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
Disconnect the generator wires. Remove the generator support brace. Refer to Engine Electrical.
Remove the air conditioning compressor and brackets. Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
Remove the accessory support bracket with the generator and the power steering pump still attached. Refer to
Generator Replacement
.
Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to
Exhaust Manifold Replacement
.
Remove the upper and lower intake manifold. Refer to
Intake Manifold Replacement
.
Remove the valve rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to
Valve Rocker Arm, Push Rod, and Stud Replacement
.
Remove the engine lift bracket from the rear of the engine.
Remove the cylinder head. Refer to
Cylinder Head Removal
.
Installation Procedure
Install the cylinder head. Refer to
Cylinder Head Installation
.
Install the engine lift bracket onto the rear of the engine.
Install the valve rocker arms and install the pushrods. Refer to
Valve Rocker Arm, Push Rod, and Stud Replacement
.
Install the lower and upper intake manifold. Refer to
Intake Manifold Replacement
.
Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to
Exhaust Manifold Replacement
.
Connect the exhaust pipe. Refer to Engine Exhaust.
Install the accessory support bracket with the generator and the power steering pump still attached. Refer to
Generator Replacement
.
Install the air conditioning compressor with the brackets still attached. Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
Connect the generator wires. Install the generator support brace. Refer to Engine Electrical.
Install the thermostat housing. Refer to
Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
Install the water pump. Refer to
Water Pump Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
