Did you perform the power door locks diagnostic system check?

  1. Use a scan tool in order to read the body control module (BCM) current diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
  2. Inspect for the following DTCs:
  3. • B3137
    • B3138
    • B3147
    • B3148

Are one or more of the above DTCs set as a current code?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the end/lift gate switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the switch terminal D CKT 840 (ORN) and ground.

Note: Check connector terminals for looseness or damage.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal D CKT 9840 (ORN) and terminal A CKT 195 (LT BLU) of the end/lift gate connector.

Do the doors lock?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair an open in CKT 840 (ORN).

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal D, CKT 840 (ORN) and terminal B CKT 194 (WHT) of the end/lift gate connector.

Do the doors unlock?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 195 (LT BLU).

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Replace the end/lift gate switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the open in CKT 194 (WHT).

Is the repair complete?
