Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screws that retain the front wheel opening flare to the bumper extension, ZR2 option only. Refer to Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 3813  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts that retain the front bumper extension to the air deflector.
  4. Remove the nuts that retain the front bumper extension to the bumper.
  5. Slide the end cap forward in order to release the fender stud.
  6. Remove the front bumper extension from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 3813  Size: SH
  1. Install the front bumper extension from the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts that retain the front bumper extension to the bumper.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts until the nuts are driven and fully seated.

  5. Install the bolts that retain the front bumper end caps to the air deflector.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper end caps to 7 N·m (63 lb in).

  7. Install the screws that retain the front wheel opening flare to the bumper extension, ZR2 option only. Refer to Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement in Exterior Trim.
