Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Remove the floor console from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
.
- Remove remote CD changer, if equipped. Refer to
Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement
.
- Remove the console wiring harness from the amplifier.
- Remove the amplifier mounting nuts.
- Remove the amplifier from the mounting bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the amplifier
to the mounting bracket.
- Install the amplifier mounting nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the amplifier mounting bracket bolts to 10 N·m
(88 lb in).
- Install the console wiring harness to the amplifier.
- Install the remote CD changer, if equipped. Refer to
Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement
.
- Install the floor console to the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
.
- Install the negative battery cable.
