The DIC displays dashes (- -) when there is a fault in the class 2 serial data circuit. This occurs only during the following modes:
• | Average Fuel Economy |
• | Average Speed |
• | Fuel Used |
• | Instant Fuel Economy |
• | Trip Range |
The compass display and the temperature display still operate normally when there is a fault in the class 2 serial data circuit. In this case refer to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device in Data Link Communications for diagnosis.
