Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 605592  Size: SH
  1. Remove three screws securing the rear bumper extension to the wheelhouse panel.
  2. Remove the bolt that retains the rear bumper extension to the brace.
  3. Remove the nuts that retain the rear bumper extension to the rear quarter panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 605592  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the nuts that retain the rear bumper extension to the rear quarter panel.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear bumper extension to the rear quarter panel nuts to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).

  3. Install the screws securing the rear bumper extension to the wheelhouse panel.
  4. The screws should be installed from the top to the bottom.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear bumper extension to the wheelhouse screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the bolt that retains the brace to the rear bumper extension.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the brace to the rear bumper extension bolt to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).
