Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the tail, marker, and license lamps are always on.

Do the tail, marker, and license lamps operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Disconnect the headlamp switch.

Do the tail, marker, and license lamps lamps remain illuminated?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Remove the park lamp relay from the body relay block.

Do the tail, marker, and license lamps lamps remain illuminated?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to voltage in one of the following circuits. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems:

    • Park lamps switch signal
    • Front park lamps supply voltage
    • Left rear park lamps supply voltage
    • Right rear park lamps supply voltage
    • Trailer park lamps supply voltage
    • Interior park lamps supply voltage

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Replace the park lamp relay. Refer to Relay Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
