Important: Complete the following steps before using the symptom tables.
- Perform Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following conditions are true:
- Review the system operation in order to learn the system functions. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation .
| • | No DTCs are set. |
| • | The control modules can communicate via the serial data link. |
Visual/Physical Inspection
| • | Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Power Sunroof system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Wiring Systems. |
| • | Inspect the accessible system components for obvious damage or for conditions which can cause the symptom. |
Intermittent
Bad electrical connections or bad wiring may cause intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:
| • | If the sunroof continues to operate for more than 10 minutes after the ignition has been turned to OFF, refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Timeout in Computer/Integrating Systems. |
