Important: Complete the following steps before using the symptom tables.

  1. Perform Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following conditions are true:
  2. • No DTCs are set.
    • The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.
  3. Review the system operation in order to learn the system functions. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation .

Visual/Physical Inspection

    • Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Power Sunroof system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Wiring Systems.
    • Inspect the accessible system components for obvious damage or for conditions which can cause the symptom.

Intermittent

Bad electrical connections or bad wiring may cause intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Symptom List

Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:

    •  Power Sunroof Inoperative
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Open
    •  Power Sunroof Express Open Feature Inoperative
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Open to Vent Position
    • If the sunroof continues to operate for more than 10 minutes after the ignition has been turned to OFF, refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Timeout in Computer/Integrating Systems.
