Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1996 🢒 Blazer - 4WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.3L (VIN W) 🢒 Valve Lifter Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.
    2. • For the left side, refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement (Left) .
    • For the right side, refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement (Right) .
  2. Remove the intake manifold.
    3. • For the upper intake manifold, refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Upper) .
    • For the lower intake manifold, refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Lower) .
  3. Remove the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Removal .

    4. Object Number: 4577 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retainer bolts and retainer.

    5. Object Number: 4578 Size: SH
  5. Remove the valve lifters. Refer to Valve Lifter Removal .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 4578 Size: SH
  1. Install the valve lifters.

    2. Object Number: 4577 Size: SH
  2. Install the retainer.
  3. Install the intake manifold.
    4. • For the upper intake manifold, refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Upper) .
    • For the lower intake manifold, refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Lower) .
  4. Install the pushrod and valve rocker arm. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  5. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement (Right)
