Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 7728 Oil Seal Installer
- Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle, if necessary.
Refer to

- Protect the drive shaft (2)
with the shim stock.
- Use a small chisel in order to remove the seal (1).
Discard the seal.
Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the new drive shaft seal (1) using power steering
fluid.
- Use the J 7728
in order to install the new drive shaft
seal.
- Install the power steering pump, if removed. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement

- Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle. Refer to

- Use the shim stock in order to protect the drive shaft.
- Use a chisel in order
to cut and remove the seal.

Seal Installer
- Lubricate the seal using
power steering fluid.
