DEFINITION: Use this diagnostic procedure in order to diagnose the anti-lockout feature only if the other functions of the door lock system are operating properly.

Did you perform the Power Door Systems Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Door Systems

Verify that the power door locks lockout is inoperative.

Does the lockout operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Insert the key in the ignition switch cylinder. Do not move the ignition switch from the OFF position.
2. Open the driver's door.

Does the key-in ignition chime operate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Symptoms - Audible Warnings in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in body control systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
