Did you perform the Power Seat Systems Diagnostic System Check?

Verify that the power seat does not tilt forward.

Does the power seat operate normally?

--

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconect the seat front height motor connector
  2. Test the seat front height motor front up feed circuit for voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.
  3. Operate the seat adjuster switch in the FRONT UP position.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconect the seat front height motor connector
  2. Test between the seat front height motor front up feed circuit and the seat front height motor ground circuit for voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.
  3. Operate the seat adjuster switch in the FRONT UP position.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 7

Replace the seat front height motor. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 9

  1. Test for a high resistance or an open in the seat front height motor front up feed circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.
  2. Reconnect any connectors that were disconnected.

Did you find and correct the condition?

  1. Test for a high resistance or an open in the seat front height motor ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.
  2. Reconnect any connectors that were disconnected.

Replace the seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
