Removal Procedure
Raise the vehicle and support the vehicle with suitable safety stands. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
Remove the tire and the wheel from the vehicle. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
Mark the relationship of the rear brake drum to the axle for reference.
Remove the rear brake drum retainers if present.
Remove the rear brake drum from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Locate the relationship mark and install the brake drum to the axle.
Install the tire and the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
Adjust the rear brakes. Refer to
Drum Brake Adjustment
.
Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
