Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement Utility/Crew Cab

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  3. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
  4. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) from fuel sender assembly (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) on the fuel sender assembly (2).
  2. Connect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
  3. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  4. Refill the fuel tank.
  5. Install the fuel filler cap.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Inspect for leaks.
  8. 7.1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    7.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    7.3. Turn ON the ignition.
    7.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement Pickup

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the pickup box from the vehicle. Refer to Pickup Box Replacement in Body Rear End.

  2. Object Number: 373185  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 61945  Size: SH
  5. Remove the FTP sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 61945  Size: SH
  1. Install the FTP sensor.

  2. Object Number: 373185  Size: SH
  3. Install the FTP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the pickup box. Refer to Pickup Box Replacement in Body Rear End.
