- Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
- With a scan tool, observe the door key switch parameter in the Body Control
Module (BCM) security data list.
Does the scan tool display INACTIVE?

- With a scan tool, observe the door key switch parameter in the BCM data

- Insert the ignition key into the drivers door lock cylinder.
- Turn and hold the door lock cylinder to the UNLOCK position.
