Air Conditioning (A/C) High Pressure Switch Replacement for Chevrolet Blazer - 4WD - RHD 2002

Tools Required

J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
3. Disconnect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the A/C high pressure switch connector retaining ring.
5. Remove the A/C high pressure switch from the A/C Compressor.

1. Install the A/C high pressure switch to the A/C Compressor.
2. Install the A/C high pressure switch connector retaining ring.
3. Connect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector (2).
4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
5. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
6. Leak test the fitting(s) of the repaired or reinstalled components using the J 39400-A .
