Removal Procedure
- Tilt the instrument panel
down. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in
Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the screw retaining the antenna cable to the instrument
panel.
- Remove the antenna cable retaining clip from the instrument panel.
- Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Disconnect the antenna cable from the power antenna lead cable.
- Remove the nut attaching the antenna cable retainer to the evaporator
and blower module.
- Remove the antenna cable from the bulkhead.
- Remove the antenna cable from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the antenna cable
to the vehicle.
- Install the antenna cable to the bulkhead.
- Install the antenna cable retainer to the evaporator and blower
module.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the antenna
cable retainer nut.
Tighten
Tighten the radio antenna cable retainer nut to 2.8 N·m
(25 lb in).
- Connect the antenna cable to the power antenna lead cable.
- Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Install the antenna cable retaining clip to the instrument panel.
- Install the screw retaining the antenna cable to the instrument
panel.
- Install the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
