J 42371 Clutch Line to Concentric Slave Cylinder Removal Tool

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 416716  Size: SH
  1. Remove the master cylinder rod from the clutch pedal.

  2. Object Number: 416718  Size: SH
  3. Turn the master cylinder 45 degrees clockwise to unlock the master cylinder.

  4. Object Number: 416713  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the clutch master cylinder start switch.
  6. Remove the clutch master cylinder from the dash panel.
  7. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  8. Object Number: 416721  Size: SH
  9. Using J 42371 remove the clutch line from the concentric slave cylinder.

  10. Object Number: 416723  Size: SH
  11. Remove the clip securing the clutch line to the heat shield.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove the clutch master cylinder.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the clutch master cylinder.
  2. Raise the vehicle.

  3. Object Number: 416723  Size: SH
  4. Install the clip securing the clutch line to the heat shield.

  5. Object Number: 416721  Size: SH
  6. Pull back on the connector sleeve and connect the clutch line to the concentric slave cylinder.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Object Number: 416713  Size: SH
  9. Position the clutch master cylinder into the cowl panel hole.

  10. Object Number: 416718  Size: SH
  11. Turn the master cylinder 45 degrees counterclockwise to lock the master cylinder.

  12. Object Number: 416716  Size: SH
  13. Connect the master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal.
  14. Bleed the clutch. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
