4.1. | Press on the locking tabs of the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1). |
4.2. | Pull the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1) out of the signal switch housing assembly. |
6.1. | Press on the locking tabs of the inflatable restraint signal switch assembly (1). |
6.2. | Pull the switch assembly (1) out of the signal switch housing assembly. |
Important: When removing the horn contact, the horn contact spring may become a projectile. Remove slowly.
7.1. | Turn the horn contact plunger to release the plunger from the signal switch housing assembly (1). |
7.2. | Remove the horn contact (2) and spring. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).
