The defroster actuator is located on the right side of the heater assembly.

1. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the defroster actuator.
3. Carefully pry back the defroster actuator retaining tab with a screwdriver and remove the defroster actuator.

1. Install the defroster actuator to the heater assembly.
2. Connect the vacuum hose to the defroster actuator.
3. Install the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
