Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 354507  Size: SH
  1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  2. Remove the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
  4. Remove the windshield washer reservoir. Refer to Washer Pump/Reservoir Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  5. Remove the PCM and the bracket. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
  6. Disconnect the antenna cable from the power antenna assembly.
  7. Remove the left front headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Remove the vacuum storage container from the fender.
  9. Remove the wiring harness from the fender.
  10. Disconnect the electrical connector to the power antenna, side marker lamp, and the horn.
  11. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the radiator support.

  13. Remove the bolt that retains the fender to the radiator support.
  14. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the cowl.
  15. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the door hinge.
  16. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the rocker panel.

  18. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the wheelhouse.
  19. Remove the fender from the vehicle.
  20. Remove the power antenna assembly from the fender. Refer to Power Antenna Assembly Replacement in Entertainment.
  21. Remove the wheel opening flare from the fender. Refer to Front Wheel Opening Flare Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  22. Remove the side repeater lamp from the fender. Refer to Repeater Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  23. Remove the wiring harness from the fender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 354515  Size: SH
  1. Install the wiring harness from the fender.
  2. Install the side repeater lamp to the fender. Refer to Repeater Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Install the wheel opening flare to the fender. Refer to Front Wheel Opening Flare Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  4. Install the power antenna assembly to the fender. Refer to Power Antenna Assembly Replacement in Entertainment.
  5. Install the fender to the vehicle.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the wheelhouse.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fender bolts to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  9. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the door hinge.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fender bolts to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  11. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the cowl.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the fender bolts to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  13. Install the bolt that retains the fender to the rocker panel.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the fender bolts to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  15. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the radiator support.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the fender bolts to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  17. Connect the electrical connector to the power antenna, side marker lamp, and the horn.
  18. Install the wiring harness to the fender.
  19. Install the vacuum storage container to the fender.
  20. Install the left front headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  21. Connect the antenna cable to the power antenna assembly.
  22. Install the PCM and the bracket. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
  23. Install the windshield washer reservoir. Refer to Washer Pump/Reservoir Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  24. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
  25. Install the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement in Bumpers.
  26. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
