Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 544184  Size: SH
  3. Remove the trim plate.

  4. Object Number: 298915  Size: SH
  5. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.

  6. Object Number: 613185  Size: SH

    Important: Do not damage the seat fabric when removing the velcro retaining cover.

  7. Separate the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
  8. Disconnect the electrical connections, as needed.
  9. Remove the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the manual recliner (manual lumbar knob) lever, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
  11. Remove the power lumbar control switch, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
  12. Remove the power seat control switch, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  13. Remove the seat back from the seat bottom bolts.

  15. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt.
  16. Remove the seat belt buckle from the seat.
  17. Remove the bracket bolt for the seat trim plate screws.
  18. Remove the seat bottom cover.
  19. Remove the seat bottom pad.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
  2. Install the seat bottom cover to the seat bottom pad.

  3. Object Number: 613185  Size: SH
  4. Engage the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
  5. Install the bracket bolt for the seat trim plate screws.
  6. Install the seat belt buckle through the slot in the seat.

  7. Object Number: 609147  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the seat belt holder bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  10. Install the seat back to seat bottom bolts.
  11. Install the power seat control switch, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  12. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
  13. Install the power lumbar switch, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
  14. Connect the electrical connections, as needed.
  15. Engage the velcro strips that retain the seat pad to the cover.

  17. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.

  19. Install the trim plate.
  20. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
