CLUTCH CHATTER IN REVERSE REVISED PART NUMBER

THE CLUTCH LINKAGE IN 1982 CAMAROS EQUIPPED WITH 2.8L V6 ENGINE AND 76MM MANUAL TRANSMISSION WAS REVISED DURING THE MODEL YEAR. THE CLUTCH LEVER ASSEMBLY LOWER LEVER ANGLE WAS CHANGED TO REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY OF CLUTCH CHATTER OCCURRING. ON VEHICLES THAT HAVE REVERSE CLUTCH CHATTER, OBSERVE THE LEVER ASSEMBLY LOWER LEVER AND COMPARE IT TO THE ILLUSTRATION SHOWN BELOW. IF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THE REVISED LEVER ASSEMBLY, P/N 14056673, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO INSTALL THE FOLLOWING NEW PARTS ALONG WITH THE REVISED LEVER ASSEMBLY.
