HEATER CORE REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Model and Year 1985 CAMARO

TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

A revised procedure has been developed for the heater core removal on the 1985 Camaro. This procedure is to supersede the heater core removal procedure that is on Page 1A8 and 1B16 of the 1985 Camaro (ST 368-85) Service Manual.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Drain cooling system

3. Remove heater hoses from heater core.

4. Remove right lower hush panel (See Section 8C).

5. Remove ECM attaching screws and move to the side.

6. Remove inside core cover screws and remove cover.

7. Remove metal baffle.

8. Remove core screws and core.

9. Remove plastic baffle from core.

10. Reverse removal procedure to reinstall. Restore all seals and/or sealant disturbed during removal procedure.

11. Refill cooling system, check for leaks.
