PAINT-CHANGE TO BASECOAT/CLEARCOAT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 Norwood Built Camaros and Firebirds

The Norwood Assembly Plant is changing some colours from a high solid enamel to the basecoat/clearcoat system. The Service Parts Identification Label will reflect these changes along with all pertinent information.

The following is a list of the new paint codes, WA numbers, paint supplier and projected breakpoint for each colour:

Code 40 - White WA-8554 - PPG -Week of 6/21/85 Code 41 - Black WA-8555 - PPG -Week of 5/27/85 Code 50 - Yellow Gold WA-8929 - PPG -Week of 4/22/85 Code 75 - Blaze Red WA-8537 - PPG -Week of 4/29/85

When repairing the basecoat/clearcoat colours refer to Dealer Service Bulletin 85-2-125 on Basecoat/Clearcoat Repair Systems.
