CHOKE IDLE CAM ADJ.SPEC.CHANGE PRODUCTION RUNNING CHANGE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 "F" Car With L69, 5.0L V8 Engine and Manual Transmission

A production running change in fast idle cams on model E4ME carburetor, P/N 17085203, has made necessary a change in the specification for the choke rod-fast idle cam adjustment. Some early production 1985 model carburetors were produced with a three (3) step fast idle cam identified with the letter 'E' (see illustration). Later carburetors are built with a two (2) step fast idle cam identified with the letters 'AD' (see illustration) the proper choke rod-fast idle cam adjustment specifications appear with each cam illustration.
